The 5 Things You Need to Know About Microblading Old

Your eyebrows can make a considerable difference to the way you look, and the way you perceive yourself. If you are unhappy with your brow shape, color or thickness, Microblading could be the perfect remedy! Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure in which a Brow Artist sketches wispy, hair-like lines in your brow area to give them shape, thickness, and color.
If Microblading piques your interest, here are a few handy things to remember before, during, and after your procedure
1. Microblading is basically a tattoo
The tool used to sketch on your new brow hairs is not exactly a tattoo gun, in the traditional sense. This tool is able to make super thin, hair-like lines under your actual pre-existing eyebrow hairs.
However, the ink is permeating as deeply into the skin as a regular tattoo. That’s why your Brow Artist is going to numb you up before the procedure begins! Using the strongest topical numbing agent available, your brows are numbed completely, so the pain is lessened during treatment! Most patients report experiencing a 4/10 on the pain scale.
2. Bring your own pics!
This is a tattoo, so it’s a good idea to come in with a clear idea of how you want your brows to look, because it’s not that easy to re-do them if you aren’t satisfied with the shape.
So, pick a celebrity whose brows you love, and save a picture of them to your phone! That way, as you and your Brow Artist plan how your Microblading treatment will look by selecting a color that matches your natural brow hairs and sketching where the tattoo will go, you can whip out a photo for reference!

3. The initial procedure is pretty short and easy
The whole procedure takes about 2 hours, and this includes the half hour it takes to numb your brow area. As you numb, your Brow Artist will help you decide on a color and shape that suits your skin tone and face shape.
Then the Brow Artist will sketch out the brows onto your face so you can approve how they look before the Microblading begins. After that, you chill out while your Brow Artist works some magic!
It’s important to note, however, that you’ll need to come in for a Microblading Perfection Session 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment in order to fill any areas that need more pigment, and to make sure you’re happy with the way they’re shaping up.
4. The healing process is weird
It takes a few weeks for the Microblading to heal, and during these weeks your brows will undergo a few changes. How they look right after your treatment will give you a pretty good idea of how they will look once the healing process is over, but within the next few days, your brows will darken and the lines may look a little harsh. This is totally normal – the pigment is just settling into your skin!
Then, the brows will start to scab and itch, just like a regular tattoo. A little after a week following treatment, the color of your brows will start to fade until they are almost too light, but not to worry! The pigment will reappear looking healed and pretty about 2-4 weeks after your initial procedure. This is around when you’ll come back in for your Microblading Perfection Session.

5. They last for three years
After your Microblading Perfection Session, your new brows should be looking nice and healed. Your new look may last as long as 3 years, depending on your skin type and texture, with yearly touch-ups to make sure you’re still loving the shape and color of your new eyebrows.
Microblading is the perfect solution for anyone who isn’t totally happy with the appearance of their natural brows – you’ll never have to tweeze or fill them again!
