Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-long lasting brow tattoo that last up to 1-3 years and looks like natural hair. It will enhance the shape of your natural brow & can also be done on chemo clients who have no brows or someone who has alopecia. This will be the most natural way to make your brows look symmetrical and full.
Does microblading look like natural hair?
Because microblading uses a small blade instead of a tattoo gun, it allows the artist/provider to make each individual hair look like a real hair!
How long does microblading last?
Microblading lasts 1-2 years depending on the post-treatment home care of the client and what types of products they use at home.
Are there colors to choose from in microblading?
We will have 10 different pigments to choose from here at Juvly & will be able to find the perfect pigment for each specific client.
Does microblading hurt?
We can not assure you that you will feel nothing, but here at Juvly we have access to prescription strength lidocane, unlike most places who will use only up to a 4% lidocane, ours is 23%. So we can almost assure you that you will feel nothing!
What’s the healing time or down time for microblading?
It usually takes about a week for the brows to be completely healed and done flaking.
How is microblading done and how does it differ from tattooing brows?
With microblading we use a very small thin blade so that the pigment will look like a natural hair wisp as opposed to tattooing where the pigment is just filling in empty spaces with thicker less natural looking strokes.
How long does microblading take?
The appointment will be for 2 hours, but most of that time will be used to numb the client and to measure and perfect the shape before actually blading the pigment on to the brow.
Does the client get to pick the shape in microblading?
Yes and no. We will customize each set of brows on a client based on their current brow. We can add more of an arch look if that’s what the client wants, or just fill in empty spaces where hair should be.
What should clients do prior to their microblading appointment?
Stop use of Retin-A prior to treatment, get brow wax prior to microblading so that your provider has a good idea of how you maintain you brows and how they look on a daily basis.
Should I wear makeup when I come to get microbladed?
Yes! We would prefer you come in with your brows done and filled in how you normally do so we can see how you prefer you brows!
What if I don’t like my brows after they are microbladed?
If you end up not liking your brows, schedule a post-procedure consult to come back in so we can talk about options of how to make them to your liking.
