Face Slimming
Apart from softening wrinkles, the versatile Botox/Dysport can reduce masseter size if these muscles are hypertrophied due to involuntary or frequent use (e.g. bruxism, stress clenching, chewing gum). It won’t have any effect on fatty cheeks or bony jawlines.
How does face slimming work?
Botox or Dysport is injected in several points along the length of the masseter muscle. By preventing the contraction of this overworked muscle, it relaxes and temporarily shrinks in size.. The weakened masseter results to a more oval shape and better cheekbone definition.
What can I expect?
The number of units would depend on your muscle strength and state of hypertrophy. We usually start injecting 10 – 25 units of Botox (45-75 Dysport units) per side. The results can be felt within a week or so and is repeated once or twice for best results. Over the next six weeks, the results will be more visible and may last for as long as 1 1/2 years.
The treatment is practically painless and recommended for those who suffer from bruxism and migraine. There is no downtime and complications are extremely rare. It is reversible but studies show that over time, the muscles may slim down and require less amounts of Botox or Dysport to maintain the desired results.

Botox
Botox is a naturally occurring substance that helps to diminish the look of wrinkles and fine lines on your face and neck. This is one of the best noninvasive aesthetic treatments out there. It’s also virtually painless!
Dysport
Dysport works identically to Botox. Sometimes Dysport begins to act faster than Botox due to its smaller size, but this will vary from person to person. The ratio of Dysport to Botox units is generally 3:1, so if you needed 20 units of Botox in your forehead you would need about 60 units of Dysport!
Jeuveau
Jeuveau is a new wrinkle relaxer available in Juvly since 2019. It was recently FDA approved in the United States and has been used in Asia for several years under the name Nabota. It comes in 100 unit vials, similar to Botox.
